Greenslate Community Farm
Greenslate Community Farm, built for the community by the community. 25 acres of farm and woodlands on the side of Billinge Hill on the outskirts of Wigan.

CORE CIC
CORE CIC Orrell is a community interest company and non for profit.
We specialise in providing a quality service for adults with learning/physical disabilities and Autism.
We provide opportunities to meet others in a supportive, safe environment. This enables you to enjoy your independence and get involved in a range of person centered activities.

Expanse Learning - Wigan
The College is based in Orrell Lodge, the former home of WISH FM (and Robert Daglish).
It has been fully refurbished with open spacious classrooms, and situated within its own private grounds, has retained several of the original recording studios for those interested in creative industry production.
A specialist provider in SEND education, health care and school workforce development. They offer a wide range of education, training and support to young people, adults and professionals through bespoke innovative learning programmes.

Ellen Higginbottom's Memorial Garden

The Food Pantry, set up in February 2024, and based at the Community Hub in The Connect Centre, is open every Thursday, 11am to 1pm, and runs alongside the Church Street Cafe.
You can donate to the pantry, either by the box in the Centre or in the Post Office.
