Brighter Better Orrell Wildflower Seed Mixes

After the success of our very own BBO seed bombs during the Easter event, we now have wildflower seed mixes available to buy which will enable anyone to create an area, either in your own garden or in a suitable neglected spot, that supports birds, bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. If the seeds are planted by the end of May, you will have a beautiful display of wildflowers within 12 weeks.

They can also be sown in September for an early spring display.

There are three different mixes available (all DEFRA approved) – traditional cornfield, bees and butterfly mix, and a hedgerow, woodland and shade mix, in 5g packs, suitable for 1-2 sq. metres, at a cost of £2, £0.50 of which will be donated to the Samaritans.
